My name is Akela Woodard, and I am honored to run for Justice of the Peace, Harris County Precinct 7, Place 2!  I am not here just to ask for your vote, I am here to earn your trust.

To me, the role of Justice of the Peace is more than a title. It is my calling to serve people with fairness, compassion, and integrity. Doing what is right, not what is convenient is what I believe in. Every marriage I officiate, every small claim case I hear, every decision I make must reflect the values that unite us, respect, justice, and community.

I have spent my life committed to those values. Whether it’s volunteering at local shelters, helping neighbors resolve disputes, or working to make our streets safer, I have always believed that justice begins at home, right here in our own community. That is where my heart is, and that is where I want to serve. Right here, in Harris County.

If elected, I will be accessible, impartial, and transparent. I will treat every person who comes before me with dignity, regardless of background, income, or circumstance. I will listen carefully, decide fairly, and never forget that behind every case is a human story that deserves to be heard.

I believe in justice that is swift but thoughtful, firm but fair. I believe in a court that works for everyone, not just those who can afford it. And I believe that together, we can build a community where justice is not just a word, it is a way of life. My Life. One that I share with this great city.

I am asking for your support, your voice, and your vote. Let’s bring fairness, integrity, and compassion to the bench. It is time to make justice local and make it right.
